Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Painter to join our team. This role is responsible for cleaning, prepping, masking, and applying coatings on aircraft surfaces and sub-assemblies according to technical specifications and standards. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of aircraft painting experience and a deep understanding of technical drawings and painting processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Mix and match paints for blending and spot repair
• Mask complex areas including logos and detailed exterior features
• Prep surfaces for proper paint adhesion and even coating
• Apply topcoat finishes to meet quality and gloss standards
• Perform painting tasks on and off aircraft as needed
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings
• Assist in ordering materials, tools, and equipment
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned work area
• Follow Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention and safety protocols
• Adhere to the Company Tool Control Program
• Operate test and Ground Support Equipment
• Maintain records of work performed
• Use computer-based systems for documentation
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Job Duties & Requirements:

• Inspect aircraft for paint defects, discoloration, and perform touch-ups
• Ensure strip placement using engineering drawings and templates
• Maintain training currency and compliance with safety standards
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship if needed
• Familiarity with paint and strip booth operations

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 5+ years of aircraft painting experience preferred
• Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals
• Proficiency in using measuring tools and applying technical processes
• Ability to pass DCMA 8210 and Hex Chrome/respirator physical
• Comfortable using computer-based systems
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team environment
