This is a high-visibility role for a seasoned executive ready to spearhead our expansion into the Boston market.

As a key member of our executive team, the VP will be responsible for overseeing regional operations, managing financial performance, supporting business development, and ensuring project excellence. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a growing, multi-state construction firm with a strong reputation and a robust pipeline of work.

Key Responsibilities

Market Leadership & Expansion

  • Lead the company’s strategic growth initiatives in the New England region, with a focus on establishing operational presence, building client relationships, and ensuring a smooth market entry.
  • Collaborate with business development and estimating teams to pursue and secure new work across municipal, transportation, utility, and infrastructure sectors.

Operational Oversight

  • Provide executive oversight for current civil and electrical construction projects, from preconstruction through close-out, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with the highest safety and quality standards.
  • Monitor and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, workforce productivity, and project performance.

Financial Management

  • Oversee and manage budgets, forecasts, and P&L for the region, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded.
  • Evaluate project risks, cost controls, and resource allocations across projects and divisions.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Build and lead a high-performing team of project managers, superintendents, and support staff.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the organization.

Strategic Partnering

  • Serve as a trusted partner to the executive leadership team, participating in long-term strategic planning, growth modeling, and organizational development.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, union partners, and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in heavy civil and/or electrical construction, including complex infrastructure and utility projects.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large project portfolios ($50M+ annually), including multi-disciplinary teams and joint ventures, is highly desirable.
  • Strong project management and operational acumen with a deep understanding of construction means and methods, scheduling, estimating, and contract administration.
  • Proven financial and business management experience, including P&L responsibility, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Skilled in building teams, mentoring leaders, and creating performance-driven cultures.
  • Familiarity with the Boston market, including permitting, labor environments, and regional construction dynamics, is highly desirable.

Why Join Us?

  • Join a well-respected and growing construction company with over 2,000 employees across 30+ states.
  • Take on a leadership role with real impact, guiding a new market expansion backed by top-tier resources and executive support.
  • Competitive executive compensation package including base salary, performance bonuses, company vehicle, and comprehensive benefits.
