Tax Administrator

Wealth Management Firm | Portland, ME | In-Office Tues–Thurs

Join a respected Portland-based financial planning firm as a Tax Administrator supporting high-net-worth fiduciary clients. This hybrid role (3 in-office days) offers long-term growth into trust administration and fiduciary services.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in tax, trust, or accounting
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Strong attention to detail, discretion, and communication skills
• Client service mindset with ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Ability to learn software systems and participate in ongoing training

Responsibilities:

• Track and process tax returns and related documentation
• Maintain and reconcile tax databases for fiduciary and information returns
• Coordinate fiduciary tax payments and related correspondence
• Assist with tax notices, refund tracking, and return data entry
• Support new client onboarding and trust filing processes
• Communicate directly with outside trustees regarding filings and engagement letters
• Upload confidential documents via client portal
• Research and respond to tax coding queries within trust accounting software
• Assist tax and trust teams with high-priority items and client service requests
