A leading energy company is seeking a Senior Risk Analyst to support its global Supply & Trading operations. This role is pivotal in managing liquidity and counterparty risk, ensuring robust credit risk practices, and supporting commercial physical commodity transactions. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to assess exposures, negotiate credit support agreements, and enhance credit risk frameworks. Key Responsibilities Monitor daily counterparty exposure and ensure compliance with credit policies. Conduct real-time creditworthiness assessments for new and existing counterparties. Administer credit provisions in contracts and manage credit security instruments (e.g., letters of credit, guarantees). Negotiate and track parental guarantees. Use financial models to assess forward-looking credit risk. Recommend and approve credit structures aligned with risk assessments. Identify and manage deteriorating credits and problem situations early. Collaborate with internal teams (Trading, Treasury, IT, Accounting, etc.) to manage counterpart risk and ensure policy compliance. Requirements ~5+ years of credit experience in physical energy trading or related sectors (oil/gas, merchant energy, investment banking). ~ Strong knowledge of credit risk tools (PFE, CvaR) and credit security instruments. ~ Experience with credit systems such as TriplePoint CXL, SAP, CubeLogic. ~ Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field; professional designations (CFA, CPA, etc.) are a plus. ~ Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. ~ Ability to work independently with high attention to detail. Compensation ~ Salary: up to 140k base salary + discretionary bonus
