Role Summary

You will play a crucial role in the re-insurance company by assessing and evaluating risks associated with insurance policies and providing analytical insights to support decision-making. You will analyse data, develop risk models, and contribute to the development of risk management strategies. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Role Accountabilities

  • Conduct risk assessments and evaluations on insurance policies to determine potential risks and their impact on the organisation.
  • Analyse large sets of data to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies that may pose risks to the company.
  • Develop risk models and methodologies to assess and manage risks quantitatively.
  • Collaborate with underwriters, actuaries, and other stakeholders to gather relevant data and insights for risk analysis.
  • Prepare and present risk reports, including recommendations for risk mitigation strategies, to senior management and other relevant parties.
  • Monitor market conditions, regulatory changes, and industry trends to assess their potential impact on the company's risk exposure.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of risk management policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to support risk-related projects and initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and support to other team members on risk analysis techniques and best practices.
  • Any additional duties as assigned.

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as finance, mathematics, statistics, or risk management. A master's degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience in risk analysis within the insurance or reinsurance industry.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance products, policies, and regulations.

  • Effective communication, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong ethical and professional conduct, maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information.
