Job Description

Top Workforce Solutions is seeking a professional Project & Business Manager for a hybrid/remote role with 50% travel. Offering a salary of $100,000-$110,000. Ideal candidates will have 3-6 years of experience in the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

· Partner with subsidiary leaders to drive profitability through data-driven analysis and strategic insight 

· Develop and monitor financial models to support decision-making 

· Conduct job cost reviews, utilization studies, and performance benchmarking 

· Support budgeting processes, capital requests, and variance analysis 

· Provide operational and analytical guidance to subsidiary Controllers 

· Identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and recommend actionable improvements 

· Manage and support projects from planning through execution including scheduling, cost tracking, and reporting 

· Play a key role in estimating, budgeting, resource planning, and risk management 

· Oversee change order processes and client contract administration 

· Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely and quality project delivery 

· Drive implementation of operational best practices across subsidiaries 

· Design and deliver standardized reports for financial, operational, and productivity metrics 

· Build and track project budgets and regularly report variances 

· Support monthly forecasting and the annual budget cycle 

· Continuously improve performance dashboards and business insights tools 

Qualifications & Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field 

· 2–5 years of progressive experience in business operations, consulting, engineering or construction management 

· Exceptional communication skills (written & verbal) and ability to present to executive stakeholders 

· Willingness to travel extensively to subsidiary offices and job sites across the U.S. 

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project (or similar tools)

Preferred:

· Background in construction project management or engineering 

· Engineering degree or technical project experience 

Key Skills & Attributes:

· Strong business acumen and problem-solving skills 

· Ability to manage multiple initiatives across remote locations 

· Comfortable working with all organizational levels—from field crews to executives

· Self-starter with a “roll-up-your-sleeves” attitude 

· Excellent time management and prioritization under tight deadlines 

· Willingness to travel up to 50%, including 1–2 extended deployments (1–2 months/year)
