A recognized leader in the color and additive masterbatch industry is seeking a commercially minded Market Development Manager to join its team. With a strong commitment to technical expertise and collaborative product development, the company serves clients across North America. This role is based in Morristown, TN, with relocation assistance available.

The Market Development Manager will play a key role in defining marketing strategy by identifying growth opportunities, analyzing market trends, and driving initiatives that enhance product positioning, pricing, and promotional impact. This role involves close collaboration with sales and technical teams to drive value creation and strengthen brand visibility. Industry knowledge in plastics or polymers is highly preferred and considered a strong asset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead market research and analysis to identify trends, generate sales leads and set commercial priorities
• Develop business cases to support new product and service initiatives
• Monitor industry, economic, and customer behavior shifts to anticipate risks/opportunities
• Suggest marketing campaigns, including digital, print, and trade show presence
• Support customer engagement and manage select strategic accounts
• Oversee internal marketing staff and external partners to align messaging and timelines
• Collaborate with commercial leadership on broader business decisions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a technical field (MBA preferred)
• 8–10 years of experience in B2B product marketing or commercial development, ideally within the plastics, polymer or masterbatch sector
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional marketing efforts using data and customer insight
• Strong leadership, planning, and project management skills
• Experience managing internal teams and external agencies
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills
