Senior Lead Personal Injury Attorney Compensation: $250,000 - $450,000 base salary + 5% commission on case settlements Location: Century City, Los Angeles, CA

As a Senior Lead Personal Injury Attorney, you’ll spearhead high-stakes litigation (and assist with high-value pre-litigation cases involving experts), primarily 7- and 8-figure matters, with minimal supervision. This role offers the opportunity to lead a team, shape legal strategies, and make a meaningful difference in clients’ lives. The legal team consists of 14 support staff and 3 attorneys.
Key Responsibilities - Develop and execute legal strategies for complex personal injury cases, including auto accidents, slip-and-falls, wrongful death, and catastrophic injuries.
- Oversee and approve all case documents, such as pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement packages.
- Maintain clear, professional communication with clients, opposing counsel, and colleagues throughout the litigation process.
- Conduct depositions and prepare clients, witnesses, and experts for testimony.
- Ensure cases are trial-ready by managing discovery timelines, expert disclosures, and court filings.
- Actively participate in trials as lead or co-counsel, preparing exhibits and coordinating expert testimony.
- Lead mediation efforts, drafting detailed briefs and driving settlement negotiations.
- Manage post-resolution tasks, including settlement agreements, medical lien negotiations, and distribution calculations.
- Supervise a team of approximately five legal professionals, including attorneys, case managers, and paralegals.
- Facilitate weekly case status meetings to track progress, strategize, and optimize outcomes.
- Collaborate with firm leadership to implement performance coaching, skills training, and feedback programs.
What We’re Looking For - 7 or more years of personal injury litigation experience, ideally from a larger firm.
- Deep knowledge of personal injury law, with familiarity with local experts, defense counsel, and mediators.
- Proven ability to handle high-value cases (7-8 figure) independently and lead a team.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- California Bar admission in good standing.
