Scope of Responsibilities:
The Grants and Annual Giving Coordinator will work with the Development Director to manage and implement strategies to increase individual donor support through managing grant proposals and annual giving programs. This role focuses on identifying funding opportunities, preparing grant applications, and ensuring the success of the organization’s annual fundraising campaigns.
Performance Responsibilities:
Grant Writing & Management (60%)
• Write and submit compelling grant proposals and reports to a diverse group of funders.
• Prospect grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government entities.
• Maintain a system to track deadlines and reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information and data for applications.
• Ensure compliance with grant guidelines and reporting standards.
Annual Giving (30%)
Plan, execute and manage all aspects of the annual giving program, including creating strategy for direct mail and email campaigns, social media appeals, and giving days.
· Targeted appeals include: Artist Fund, VROOM! Mobile Sensory Theatre, super subscriber renewals, Year-end, and giving days.
· Develop segmented donor appeals and messaging to target specific donor groups effectively.
· Create and maintain a comprehensive annual giving calendar, including solicitation schedules and stewardship touchpoints.
· Track and analyze donor data to improve retention and engagement.
· Work with Development Director and Executive Director to create annual giving targets.
Other (10%)
· Assist with donor appreciation events, fundraising events, and special campaigns (including annual gala).
· Assist with creating overall development plans and goals each season.
· Ability to work some required nights and weekends (attending donor events, preview nights, sponsorship parties, etc.).
Desired Qualifications:
· At least 1 year of fundraising experience, 2+ preferred
· 2+ years of related experience in grants management, including grant writing
· Experience working with (and a degree of mastery) a donor database, Tessitura preferred.
· Superb communication/relationship building skills to effectively represent OCP in personal and written contexts, internally and externally.
· High attention to detail, extremely organized and able to meet deadlines.
· Strong proofreading and editing skills.
· Self-motivated, highly independent worker who can also work as part of a team.
· Ability to independently problem solve.
· High level of integrity, enthusiasm, flexibility, and energy.
· Ability to maintain accurate donor records and correspondence. Understand and protect rights of others when dealing with confidential information.
· Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
A valid drivers’ license and ability to travel within the community with access to automobile/insurance coverage.
