Day to Day:

Insight Global is seeking an Engineering Management Technical Specialist II to work for a large utility client in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role will support engineering project planning, scheduling, and documentation processes. This role requires strong time management, communication, and coordination skills, along with experience in Primavera P6, Microsoft Access, and Excel. The ideal candidate will serve as a single point of contact for engineering schedule commitments, vendor documentation, and lifecycle schedule development.

• Manage and prioritize daily engineering tasks; lead status calls and maintain project status reports.
• Develop and maintain engineering schedules using Primavera P6, Microsoft Access, and Excel.
• Track work orders and station schedules; maintain engineering reports and ensure standards compliance via CAS.
• Serve as the Single Point of Contact for schedule validation, vendor documentation, and document control.
• Support contract development, author daily reports, and create outage schedules to minimize impact and costs.

Must Haves:

• 5+ years of experience in engineering project support or technical scheduling roles.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with engineering documentation processes and standards compliance systems (e.g., CAS).
• Experience in vendor coordination and document control processes.

Pluses:

• Background in engineering, project management, or a related technical field.
• Experience with MMP and WISM systems.
• Knowledge of contract development and lifecycle project planning.
