Job Description

JPI is hiring for a Management Consultant with at least 5 (five) years of experience working with projects, deadlines, and project teams in a fast-paced client environment with competing priorities and demands. This position requires a self-starter with proven analytical skills and a team mentality. The position would be providing project management and PMO expertise, performing the day-to-day PM tasks, including gathering data, preparing assessments, and managing operational details during meetings and reviews for the federal client. This role will work with a team in support of maturing the program while working across a wide variety of stakeholders to achieve operational success.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects with high complexity and deadlines with short turnaround times
  • Be a trusted advisor and provide strategic solutions to client projects
  • Translate business and technical requirements to functional capabilities
  • Develop, review, revise, manage and maintain the client’s Configuration Items to ensure system integrity and operational efficiency, reducing errors and enhancing consistency across systems
  • Develop and enhance reporting capabilities to include status reports, performance measurement, and leadership updates.
  • Develop meeting and briefing materials, including agendas, meeting minutes, talking points, presentations
  • Facilitate client meetings, as needed
  • Track all action items, client requirements, deliverables, and project plans throughout the project lifecycle
  • Developing artifacts including business process models, use cases, organizational charts, and portfolio frameworks.
  • Establish quality assurance and other standard operating procedures that integrate with existing policy and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with senior personnel, while having the ability to provide coaching to senior leadership and/or client personnel.
  • Provide support to senior clients in the management of project timelines and risk identification for multiple initiatives as they relate to strategic planning, change management, business transformation, and communications.

Requirements

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Proficiency in Office 365, Planner, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Experience with business requirements gathering, analysis and evaluation, translating high level business requirements into user stories
  • Ability to tailor communication and messaging to diverse stakeholder groups, including both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with senior personnel.
  • Capability to manage projects of high complexity and to direct the completion of projects within estimated timeframes and resource constraints.
  • Provide exceptional organizational skills to project work and project management.
  • Ability to multitask, balance competing priorities and deadlines, and work in a high pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Preferred relevant experience in direct support of the federal agencies

JPI is hiring for several positions and will consider your application across our current and future openings. Expected compensation for this role is between $70,000-85,000 including a generous benefits package with comprehensive healthcare coverage. Please note that final compensation is dependent on a variety of factors and is reviewed regularly for both internal and external equity considerations.
