Commercial Construction Project Manager

Location : West Palm Beach, FL (on-site, occasional day-trip travel)

Focus:

• Craft and own a milestone-driven master schedule in a cloud-based project portal, surfacing critical-path and long-lead risks before they hit the field.
• Negotiate scopes, subcontracts, and purchase orders early to lock in cost certainty while protecting project margin.
• Lead monthly cost-to-complete reviews and create crisp, client-ready dashboards on schedule, budget, and risk.
• Drive site safety and quality through weekly audits and rapid corrective actions in partnership with Superintendents.
• Resolve gaps in drawings, permits, or site conditions by collaborating with designers and proposing creative, code-compliant solutions.
• Maintain airtight documentation-RFIs, submittals, ASIs, change directives, and close-out packages-all in one digital hub.
• Cultivate vendor and trade-partner relationships built on accountability, timely communication, and mutual success.
• Support preconstruction estimates and value analyses that deliver best-value solutions for the owner.

Skill Set:

• 8+ years managing commercial ground-up and interior remodel projects for a GC or CM at-risk.
• Proven command of contract administration, pay applications, change-order negotiation, and cost-forecasting.
• Strong technical acumen; comfortable leading projects that may lack full plans or permits at kick-off.
• Advanced user of MS Project or similar scheduling tools; able to learn proprietary software quickly.
• Bonus points for experience in multi-site retail, freight terminals, or healthcare remodels.
