Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Concrete Superintendent to oversee and manage all aspects of commercial construction projects from start to finish. The Superintendent will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to safety and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and on-site workers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily construction activities to ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and schedules.
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnel to maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Ensure all work meets quality standards, follows blueprints and specifications, and adheres to building codes.
  • Enforce safety policies, conduct site inspections, and promote a culture of safety to prevent accidents.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Monitor expenses and material usage to stay within budget constraints.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the field team, project managers, and clients, providing regular updates and resolving any issues.
  • Address and resolve any on-site issues, including conflicts between trades, material shortages, and unexpected construction challenges.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs, progress reports, and compliance documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in commercial construction, with a track record of successfully managing projects.
  • Self perform experience in concrete is required.
  • Strong ability to lead, motivate, and coordinate teams to meet project goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to interact professionally with all stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions quickly.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and work in a physically demanding construction environment for extended periods.
