CBC’s PR & Activation team is growing, and we are looking for a motivated, experienced and connected media relations maven to join our exciting consumer PR division.

The Account Executive role will support clients and events in the CPG (food, beverage, beauty) and health & wellness spaces. Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years of relevant PR experience. **This is NOT an entry-level position.

AE responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Ideate creative pitch angles and “ways in” with target media; pitching and earning placements across business, trade and consumer outlets
• Draft pitches, press releases, memos and other client-facing documents
• Develop and sustain personal relationships with editors and writers through in-person entertaining and desksides
• Secure media interviews for client spokespersons/ambassadors, preparing briefing materials
• Research and share ideas for media-genic partnerships, awards, events & collaborations
• Support CBC House Programs and client events – including but not limited to: vendor and location research, coordinating proposals and estimates, providing client updates, preparing run of show, liaising with vendors, staffing/event execution and recapping
• Support preparation of monthly and quarterly client reports, use analysis to apply to future strategies and plans
• Mentor junior staff; including overseeing daily tasks, answering questions and reviewing projects
• Stay up to date on industry workings, happenings and media shifts
• Contribute to all team and company efforts, large and small

Qualifications:

• Relevant PR experience, minimum of 3 years (agency experience preferred; remote experience a bonus!)
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Ability to work efficiently and creatively in a high-pressure, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Collaborative, dependable and a team player eager to learn
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, ChatGPT, MuckRack, Slack and Google Suite; Canva and Adobe a plus

Location:

• New York City, NY
• NOTE: CBC employees are remote with the occasional in-person workdays or team-building activities.
• This role requires travel for CBC House Program media trips and client events.
